Registration opens February 3rd!
Join Bettendorf Parks & Recreation for our co-ed coach pitch leagues and learn the basic skills of baseball or softball!! Participants must meet age requirements by April 28th. The first two weeks of the scheduled dates will be practices followed by six weeks of games. Start dates are tentative and will be determined by field readiness and coach availability. We will not have games on Memorial Day.
This league relies solely on volunteer coaches, so please consider being a part of your child’s experience! To promote a community atmosphere, team, coach, and player assignments will be based on school. Rainouts will be rescheduled when feasible.
Participants must provide their own glove and may bring their own bat and/or helmet; however, Bettendorf Parks & Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
A coaches meeting will be held Tuesday, April 22nd at 5:30pm at the Bettendorf Community Center. If you agreed to coach/assist, expect to receive an email with more information. *PLEASE NOTE: Players will NOT hear anything until AFTER coaches meeting.
Program Shirts: Our reversible parks and recreation jersey is required and automatically added to your cart during registration. If you do not need a shirt, you may change the default quantity of 1 to be 0. Note: if you pre-order this shirt with your registration, staff will deliver it at the first practice. If you decide to purchase one later, they are sold at the Bettendorf Community Center, 2204 Grant Street, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm. Cost is $25.
When:
Baseball 4 – 5 yr olds: Mondays April 28 – June 23
Softball 4 – 5 yr olds: Tuesdays April 29 – June 17
Baseball 6 – 7 yr olds: Wednesdays April 30 – June 18
Softball 6 – 7 yr olds: Thursdays May 1 – June 19
Teams will rotate game start times on their respective days, either 5:15PM or 6:15PM.
